France: Louane Releases Her Eurovision 2025 Entry – “Maman”

French Television revealed that Louane will represent the country in Basel

This is how the singer revealed the news, tagging the French Head of Delegation in the post:

As in previous years (excluding 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022) the French broadcaster selected the song and the artist for Eurovision via an internal selection.

A few minutes ago, Louane revealed her Eurovision 2025 song via a live performance, which took place at the Stade de France, at half-time of the Six Nations Tournament match between France and Scotland.

Louane will perform the song “Maman” at Eurovision 2025. You can watch her live performance here:

Last year, France was the first country to reveal its song for Eurovision, as the song was released in November 2023.
However, this year, the national broadcaster chose a different approach: France will be one of the last countries to reveal its entry for Eurovision 2025!

Who is Louane?

Anne Edwige Maria Peichert (better known as Louane) is a 28-year-old French singer and actress.
She broke through in 2013 after taking part in “The Voice of France“, where she reached the semi-finals.
So far, the singer has released 5 studio albums, the latest in 2024. Her albums have charted in France, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025
