Eurovision 2025: More Interval Acts Have Been Unveiled

Over the last few days, the EBU and the Swiss broadcaster have revealed additional artists who will perform as interval acts during the Eurovision 2025 shows:

Nemo

Last year’s winner will perform as a special guest. They will perform a new song

Efendi

The singer represented Azerbaijan in Eurovision 2021 with “Mata Hari“. She should have represented the country in Eurovision 2020 with “Cleopatra“.

The Roop

The band represented Lithuania in Eurovision 2021 with “Discoteque” and ended up in 8th place. They should have represented the country in Eurovision 2020 with “On Fire“.
They will perform their intended song for Eurovision 2020 in Basel


Previously, the theme of each show revealed:

  1. Semi-Final 1 (Tuesday, May 13th) – Where It All Began – A special tribute to Switzerland, the country where Eurovision started and the one that one the first and the recent Eurovision.
  2. Semi-Final 2 (Thursday, May 15th) – Eurovision Fans – A special party to honor Eurovision fans, who support the contest, especially the ones who will attend Basel.
  3. Grand Final (Saturday, May 17th) – Eurovision Winners – On this night, a new Eurovision winner will be crowned. It is possible that the show will feature past winners.

The Hosts

Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker, and Sandra Studer will host the Eurovision 2025 shows.
Hazel and Sandra will host all 3 shows, and Michelle Hunziker will join on the final night.

The Turquoise Carpet

The opening ceremony (known as the Turquoise Carpet) will be held on May 11th, 2025.
It is expected to be the longest carpet in Eurovision history, spanning around 1.2 kilometers.
The delegations will be officially welcomed to Basel. Their path will start from the Basel City Hall and will end at the Messe Basel (Exhibition Center of the city).

Known Interval Acts So Far

Part of the interval acts have been revealed.
Semi-Final 1 opening act will feature 45 artists who will showcase different sides of Switzerland: From the traditional one to the more modern one.

In addition, several part Eurovision artists who represent Switzerland in the past will perform a medley of Swiss Eurovision entries:

  • Paola (Switzerland 1969 and 1980)
  • Peter, Sue & Marc (Switzerland 1971, 1976, 1979, and 1981)
  • Luca Hänni (Switzerland 2019)
  • Gjon’s Tears (Switzerland 2020 and 2021)

More interval acts will be revealed in the upcoming days!

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025.
