JESC 2025: Marino Vrgoč will represent Croatia at Junior Eurovision 2025

Its been announced today on 30th May 2025 that Croatia will represent Marino Vrgoč. Marino is 10 years old and comes from Ploče in southern Croatia. He won the first season of The Voice Kids Hrvatska in February 2025.

The news was confirmed today on the HRT 1 talk show ‘‘Kod nas doma”. Marino shared his reaction at being told that he would be going to Junior Eurovision 2025:

“I was very surprised when they told me, I couldn’t believe it.”

Tomislav Štengl, Head of Delegation for Croatia at Junior Eurovision, explained that songwriters and composers will soon be contacted to submit songs. Once all of the songs have been submitted, he and Marino will choose some songs to record in a studio. From those songs, the Croatian entry for Junior Eurovision 2025 will be chosen.

Last time Croatia participated in Junior Eurovision 2014, Josie finished 16th and last place with song “Game Over”.

  1. When HRT examined a comeback, they said that the Croatian entry for Junior Eurovision 2025 should be written or co-written by the corresponding singers.
