Italy: “Festival di Sanremo 2026” Dates Have Been Announced

The 76th edition of the traditional Italian music festival: “Festival di Sanremo” will be held later than usual.

The main reason for this is the Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, which will take place from February 2nd to 22nd, 2026.
Both the Winter Olympic Games and “Festival di Sanremo 2026″ will be broadcast by RAI.

According to Quotidiano Magazine, RAI schedules the festival to be held between February 24th and 28th, 2026.
The festival typically takes place in the first third of February (except in 2021, due to COVID-19).

The festival hasn’t been linked to Eurovision 2026 yet, but it is expected to be the official selection process for Eurovision 2026.

Earlier this year, Olly won the festival.
However, he rejected the invitation for Eurovision 2025.

At the end, Lucio Corsi represented Italy in Eurovision 2025.
He performed “Volevo essere un duro” and ended in 5th place with 256 points:
