JESC 2025: Ukraine’s National Selection long list of hopefuls revealed

Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne has revealed 15 hopefuls who is been chosen from 510 submissions who will try their luck to represent Ukraine at upcoming Junior Eurovision 2025.

Svitlana Tarabarova, musical producer of the selection, stated that is was difficult to choose 15 longlisted artists from the applications.

“This year’s selection was extremely emotional and difficult. We received more than 500 applications, which is an all-time record. And honestly, each of them deserved attention. Choosing only 15 participants from so many talented children is an incredibly difficult task.

This year, I was especially impressed by how much the content of the songs has changed. Children talk about faith, strength, hope and dreams. They are not afraid to touch on important topics like war, loss, love for family, Ukraine and the desire to change the world for the better. Many wrote their own songs and this is inspiring. We see a new generation that already feels part of a great culture, and at the same time speaks its own language, modernly, sincerely and deeply.

I am very grateful to everyone who dared to apply. And I am happy that I have the honor to be a part of this story, the story of talented, strong, bright Ukrainian youth!”
