Ukraine Confirms Eurovision 2026 Participation

Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne has released press materials confirming the country’s participation in Eurovision 2026.

In addition, Suspilne has clarified that “Vidbir 2026″ will be the national selection for Eurovision 2026.
It has been speculated that some surprises are planned.

Oksana Skybinska, the head of the Ukrainian Eurovision delegation, commented:

In 2026, Eurovision will be a major musical event, because this contest is an anniversary. Large-scale measures, increased media attention is what to expect. For Ukraine, it is an opportunity to sound even louder and once again confirm our strength and uniqueness of our musical DNA.
Given the challenges posed by the last contest, we want to prove that, first of all, Ukraine impresses with cool artists who write music of the European level, set trends, convey deep meanings and, by their own example, proudly show the high level of creativity that is born in the incomparably difficult conditions of war. The anniversary contest, to which the world’s attention will be riveted, is just the best opportunity for this. In addition, given the round date in the Eurovision calendar, we are preparing surprises at the National Selection
