Australia Confirms Eurovision 2026 Participation

Earlier today, in an untypical manner, Australian broadcaster SBS confirmed the country will compete in Eurovision 2026.

SBS made the confirmation during the annual Upfronts event, where the programs and plans for the upcoming year are revealed.

The two beloved commentators, Courtney Act and Tony Armstrong, will accompany the viewers for another year:

Acting Managing Director, Jane Palfreyman said:

“Next year will be our biggest year ever. We’re delivering a bold content slate that’s proudly diverse and deeply engaging — from global formats to bold, original storytelling that Australians won’t find anywhere else:

While the specific plans have yet to be revealed, the country is likely to select the artist and song internally, as it has done since 2023, as well as between 2015 and 2018.

What will Australia bring to Eurovision 2026?
Will it be a well-known artist representing the country?

Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
