San Marino Confirms Eurovision 2026 Participation and Selection Proces

San Marino has officially confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2026!
The national broadcaster San Marino RTV signed an agreement with the Secretariat of State for Tourism and Media Evolution, securing collaboration for 3 years (between 2026 and 2028) on the Eurovision project.

The national selection might undergo some changes.
Last year, the selection consisted of two contests: “Una Voce Per San Marino 2025” and “San Marino Song Contest 2025”.

As for the moment, the national selection “San Marino Song Contest 2026″ is likely to feature 2 semi-finals and a final (which is a decrease compared to last year).

The Secretary of State, Pedini Amati commented:

We are investing in a tourist asset of great value. The objective is to project the Republic of San Marino on a continental stage, favoring tourism and the economy

The General Manager of San Marino RTV, Roberto Sergio added:

RTV confirms its public service mission, guaranteeing television products of high technical and editorial standards and proudly bringing the name of San Marino to Europe

Denny Montesi from Media Evolution (The production company) reacted:

Our role is to discover and train talents, offering a high level experience that prepares each artist for the international stage of Eurovision

Gabry Ponte represented San Marino in Eurovision 2025
He performed “Tutta L’Italia” and ended 26th (last) in the final

Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
