Italian broadcaster RAI has officially announced the nation’s representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, set to take place in Tbilisi, Georgia. Leonardo Giovannangeli, an 11-year-old singer from Rome, will take to the stage with his song, “Rockstar”.
Giovannangeli is no stranger to the spotlight, having garnered attention earlier this year as a finalist in The Voice Kids Italia 2024. Known for his showmanship and passion, he brings a versatile background to the competition, with interests spanning singing, dancing, acting, and even wrestling. His vibrant stage presence and expressiveness promise an energetic and engaging performance in Tbilisi.
His entry, “Rockstar,” and music video are available on the official Junior Eurovision YouTube channel and RaiPlay. The song, released under Universal Music Italia, is described as a dynamic celebration of self-expression, affirming the power of dreams and the pride of embracing one’s unique identity.
Italy, who won the contest on its debut in 2014, is hoping for another strong result with the young talent. Giovannangeli and his song “Rockstar” are poised to deliver a memorable performance as Italy makes its 11th appearance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday, December 13th.
