Croatia’s Junior Eurovision Anthem Unleashed: Marino Vrgoč Charms with “Snovi”

The Croatian public broadcaster HRT has officially released its entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The highly anticipated song, titled “Snovi” (meaning “Dreams“), is performed by the nation’s rising star, 10-year-old Marino Vrgoč. The full track and its accompanying official music video were unveiled on Monday, November 10, 2025, marking the final step in Croatia’s exciting return to the competition after an extended absence.

Marino Vrgoč, who hails from the coastal town of Ploče in Southern Dalmatia, captured the nation’s heart earlier this year when he was crowned the winner of the inaugural season of The Voice Kids Hrvatska. His powerful voice and captivating stage presence impressed the judges and the voting public, securing his victory and earning him the prestigious chance to represent Croatia on the international stage.

Even at a young age, Marino has a strong musical foundation. He is a member of his school choir and drama group and is currently studying the piano. His musical preference leans towards calmer, more relaxed songs that explore the theme of love, a quality that is certainly reflected in his chosen JESC entry. Following his victory on The Voice Kids, Marino, his mother, and the Head of Delegation, Tomislav Štengl, discussed the selection process, emphasizing the need for the song to be thematically appropriate for his age and style, ensuring a genuine and authentic performance in Tbilisi.

“Snovi” is a powerful Croatian-language ballad centering on the universal and hopeful theme of dreams and aspirations. The lyrics encourage listeners to hold onto their inner hope and follow their boundless, youthful imagination.

The song was a collaboration between established Croatian music figures Arjana Kunštek and Ines Prajo. The official music video for “Snovi” was filmed in the weeks leading up to the release, setting the visual tone for Marino’s message of hope and dreams that he will present on December 13, 2025, in Georgia.

Marino’s participation with “Snovi” is significant as it signals Croatia’s return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the first time since 2014. Croatia holds a special place in JESC history, having won the very first edition in 2003 with Dino Jelusić. Now, Marino Vrgoč will be the sixth representative aiming to continue that legacy, carrying the hopes of a nation eager to make a successful mark upon their return to the contest. He is set to perform third in the running order at the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi.
