Romania: “Selecția Națională 2026” Format and Dates Have Been Revealed

After a two-year absence, Romania will return to Eurovision 2026.
The national broadcaster TVR has revealed the country will select for Eurovision via a national selection: “Selecția Națională 2026”.

“Selecția Națională 2026” – Known Details

  1. The submission window opened on January 14th and will close on February 2nd.
  2. Submission will be made online via the Eurovision Romania website
  3. Artists can submit only one entry, but composers and songwriters are not limited.
  4. On February 5th and 6th, the jury panel will shortlist the submitted songs.
  5. The semi-final auditions will take place from February 9 to 11. The jury panel will select 10 songs to compete in the final. The list of the finalists and their songs will be revealed shortly after.
  6. The final will take place on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026. The winner will be selected by 100% jury vote.

Romania will perform in semi-final 2 (May 14th, 2026).
The country is allocated to perform in the first half of the show

Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
