The Selection Process:
- The selection process featured several stages.
- SWR organized a songwriting camp where artists collaborate with internationally renowned songwriters and producers to develop songs for the ESC.
- A selection committee composed of professional musicians (both national and international) as well as public representatives evaluated the songs and shortlisted them for the selection.
The leading German broadcaster ARD has assigned SWR to lead the selection process.
Tina Sikorski is the new Head of Delegation and will be in charge of artistic and organizational coordination of Germany’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Tina commented:
Music is a language we all understand. For 70 years, the ESC has shown us how powerful and magical this connection can be, but also how controversially issues are repeatedly debated. I am delighted that we are carrying on the musical spark with ARD. At the German ESC final, we will see fantastic performances and find the perfect act that will make Germany shine at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.
Abor & Tynna represented Germany in Eurovision 2025
