Previously, the EBU announced on the Eurovision Song Contest website that it had already shortlisted two cities to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Bulgaria.
The two cities that made it into the final shortlist for the Eurovision 2027 host city are Burgas, a seaside city in Bulgaria, and Sofia, which is the capital of Bulgaria.
Bulgarian broadcaster has officially announced Burgas as the Eurovision 2027 host city.
The contest will be held on May 11th, 13th and 15th, 2027.
About The City Selection
Burgas has emerged victorious as the Host City for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, beating out three other Bulgarian cities in a competitive bidding process evaluated by BNT, the EBU, and international contest experts.
Burgas stood out for its stellar combination of venue capacity, seamless technical setup, excellent accommodation, and convenient transport links. Crucially, local leaders presented an ambitious vision to integrate the entire city into the Eurovision festival atmosphere.
Reflecting BNT’s goal to make Eurovision 2027 a national event, former host contenders Sofia, Plovdiv, and Varna will also participate by hosting official side events and satellite programming.

Burgas is located along the Black Sea and is one of Bulgaria’s most popular tourist destinations. This seaside city is home to various resorts and is also Bulgaria’s fourth-largest city. The city currently has two arenas namely Arena Burgas which has a 15,000-seat capacity for concerts, and Park Arena, which has a 1,200 seating capacity. It is not yet known which of the two arenas was proposed as the venue in Burgas’ bid to host the Eurovision next year.

Arena Burgas will be the venue hosting the shows.
Bulgaria’s newest sports and entertainment venue, Arena Burgas, will welcome millions of viewers from around the world for three spectacular Live Shows.
The arena, which opened in 2023, will stage the very first Eurovision Song Contest to be hosted in Bulgaria.
