The submission window closed on October 1st, 2026. LSM received 125 songs for “Supernova 2027”

Agnese Štrause-Kubliņa, Head of LTV Entertainment and Documentary Content, commented:
This year’s entries mark a very wide musical range and confirm that interest in the opportunity to represent Latvia at Eurovision is very high. The opportunity to perform on the world’s largest stage and in front of an audience of hundreds of millions is a unique privilege and a huge responsibility. This year, the competition will be fierce, as the applications include both experienced and audience-favorite artists and newcomers with clear ambitions.
She suggests that the submissions feature a wide range of genres. Among the artists who submitted a song, we can find established and known artists, as well as new-comers.
