Ukraine broadcast UA:PBC is gearing up their engines for Tel Aviv.
Starting two weeks ago the official twitter of UA:PBC drops small hints about their national final format Vidbir.
At first, they announced the judge’s panel of 2019 will be the same panel who selected Melovin to Lisbon last year. Eurovision 2016 winner, the Ukrainian singer Jamala, Andriy Danylko (aka Verka Serduchka) ranked 2nd in 2007 contest singing “Dancing Lasha Tumbai” and music producer Yevhen Filatov.
We also notified that we will have two semi-finals with 8 songs each before the grand final. the dates are:
- February 9th – Semi-final 1
- February 16th – Semi-final 2
- February 23rd – Final
The broadcast last tease was that the band Kazka , one of the hottest names in the music scene and the moment, confirmed to this year’s contest. Kazka’s song “Dyva” came 6th in the 1st semi-final of 2018 Vidbir and became popular among ESC fans worldwide.
Today was the day we’ve all been waiting and official tweet with all 16 acts are revealed. Besides Kazka returns for another round also 2018 finalists Tayanna (ranked 2nd with “Lelya” and Laud (ranked 4th singing “Waiting”)
The 16 competing acts of Vidbir 2019 are:

- Freedom Jazz
- Vera Kekelia
- Anna Maria
- Kira Mazur
