Rasmussen Is Back With A New Song “Go Beyond”

Danish singer Jonas Flodager Rasmussen, known better as Rasmussen, finally releases a new single “Go Beyond”

After his successful 9th place on the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Rasmussen bond again with “Higher Ground” co-writers Niclas Arn and Karl Eurén for writing the follow-up single.

“Go Beyond” is a powerful uptempo song reminds for a moment the beautiful sounds we used to hear on Avicii’s themes.

How many times are we to crash and burn?

And how many times before we finally learn?

In the song’s lyrics, there are no particular answers to these questions,  but Rasmussen shares on his Instagram page his solutions saying: “Let’s build trust again; let’s begin believing in the good in people again ❤️”

Lyrics:

Are we able to reverse the course
Find our way back to the sliding doors
We’re waiting for someone to change the game
Or for somebody to take the blameSee the wreckage when the damage’s done
Are we in it for the longer run
What’s the use in holding on to hope
If we pretend we cannot grasp the scope

How many times are we to crash and burn
(just) How many times before we finally learn
How do we manage to unbreak the bond
If we don’t find a way to go beyond

So tell me what we’ll live to see
Somewhere someone making history
Out there marching to a different drum
Taking part in shaping things to come

How many times are we to crash and burn
(just) How many times before we finally learn
How do we manage to unbreak the bond
If we don’t find a way to go beyond

..If we don’t find a way to go beyond

How many times are we to crash and burn
(just) How many times before we finally learn
How do we manage to unbreak the bond
If we don’t find a way to go beyond
