Kobi Marimi Wins “Hakohav Haba” And Will Represent The Host Country Israel

“Hakohav Haba” final took place tonight in “Neve Ilan” studios and at the end of a very tight voting Kobi Marimi crown as the season winner and will sing the Israeli entry this May.

Kobi was one of the favorites to win the whole season from his first audition when he sang Beyoncé’s “Sweet Dreams in his unique interpretation. a few weeks ago, Kobi left the show and  sent home after covering Rihanna‘s hit “Diamonds” but the love and support from the audience brought him back almost directly to the final through the “second chance” wheel

Kobi Marimi nailed it today with two amazing performances for “always” by Bon Jovi and “let it be” by the Beatles.

Kobi Marimi won tonight both, the juries and the public votes. as for the other finalist, Ketreyah finished 2nd followed by Shefita finished 3rd despite her being  in 2nd place by the juries. Maya Buskila didn’t qualify for 2nd round after she gave her “Euphoria” number and finished the season in the 4th spot.

Kobi’s song for the Eurovision will be suit especially for him as among the songs that will be submitted to the Israeli broadcast Kan until the deadline on February 17th. the entry video clip will be aired for the first time through the Israeli television academy awards 2018 on March 10th.

Eurovision 2019 host country Israel will participate automatically in the grand final on May 18.
