Blas Cantó Releases The Spanish Entry For Eurovision 2020 “Universo”

Blas Cantó, The Spanish Representative for Rotterdam has revealed this morning his entry for the contest “Universo”

After a long waiting period, rich with teasers and hints regarding the entry “Universo” was finally revealed to the world.  The song is an electropop in Spanish. Blas composed the song alongside Dan Hammond, Dangelo Ortega, Maciej Mikolaj Trybulec, and Ash Hicklin. The production of the song was made by Dan Hammond and Maciej Mikolaj.

“This is my baby”

While presenting the song today on RTVE studio, Blas was talking about the song creation and behind the scenes. he was quoted saying  “This is my baby. I have done what I wanted and worked with friends”

Together with the song, Blas has also dropped the music video for the song. The photoshoot for “Universo” took place between Lanzarote and Tenerife and the team consisted of 70 dancers were directed by Cristian Velasco.

As we all remember, during last October, the Spanish broadcaster RTVE (Radiotelevisión Española) has announced that they drop the reality show “Operación Triunfo” from choosing the Spanish representative for Rotterdam. at the same time, they have announced that a choice was made internally and that Blas Cantó was appointed for the mission.

Last year in Tel Aviv, Spain was represented by “Miki” who sang “La Venda” and finished ranked 22nd in the final.  Will Blas can make it this year and win the Eurovision? Tell us what you think
