A few hours ago, Poland held the third and last semi-final of “Szansa na Sukces“.
7 candidates competed for one spot in the final.
all of them performed songs of “The Beatles”.
The competing acts were:
#1. Marek Kaliszuk – Help
#2. Nick Sinckler – Can’t Buy Me Love
#3. Basia Gąsienica Giewont – Love Me Do
#4. Albert Černý – Please Please Me
#5. Norbert Legieć – She Loves You
#6. Marzena Ryt – Twist and Shout
#7 Adrian Makar – A Hard Day’s Night
Albert Černý won the semi-final and qualified for the final.
Albert Černý is the lead singer of Lake Malawi. The band represented the Czech Republic in Eurovision 2019 and ended in 11th place on the final with the song “Friend of a Friend”.
He graduated from Polish elementary school and Czech high school in Třinec.
Albert is a Polish speaker but he isn’t a resident of Poland and doesn’t have Polish citizenship.

However, the broadcaster will announce in a wild-card for the final.
Therefore, 4 artists will compete in the final of “Szansa na Sukces“.
The final will include 2 rounds. In the first round, each contender will perform a cover of Eurovision song (that will be chosen by the broadcaster).
In the second round, each contender will perform an original song which he/she intends to perform in Eurovision 2020.
