“France Télévisions, The French broadcaster, is ready to reveal the French entry for the 65th Eurovision Song Contest “The Best in Me.”
Earlier this year, it was announced that the mechanism used to select the French entry for the last two years “Destination Eurovision” won’t continue for its third season. instead, after many speculations, the broadcast has announced that the Parisian singer-songwriter Tom Leeb was internally selected for the mission with a song to be revealed on a later date.

As the song’s release date was scheduled for today (February 1216th, 2020) Tom’s entry “The Best in Me” becomes available to listen on the digital platforms, a few hours before the official presentation.
The song lyrics were co-written by Tom Leeb, Léa Ivanne, Swedish Eurovision 2019 representative John Lundvik, and the French act for Eurovision 2016 Amir Hadad. The song music was composed by the biggest Eurovision maestro team Thomas G:son and Peter Boström. the two wrote hundreds of entries for the national finals worldwide and many Eurovision hits such as Loreen’s “Euphoria“ and Spain’s 2015 “Amanecer” by Edurne.
“The Best in Me” is a Disney style power. untypically for France, the song title is in English this time, the same as the song’s chorus. the song is building up nicely and has everything need to fit perfectly for the Eurovision. still, it sounds very old fashion and great verses welcoming a very weak chorus.
The song will be officially presented for the first time tonight in the Eiffel Tower at the end of the TV show “20h30 le dimanche”
