Lesley Roy Shares Her Journey to Eurovision 2021

Ireland has confirmed participation at Eurovision 2021. Nevertheless, it is still unknown who will represent the country at Eurovision 2021.

The singer- song writer Lesley Roy has been internally chosen to represent Ireland at Eurovision 2020. However, the 2020 competition was cancelled due to the Corona virus.

Lesley would have performed the song “Story of My Life“:

Lesley is interested in representing her country in Eurovision 2021 and therefore she is looking for a ‘banger” – a song that will amaze the listeners.

She stayed at Stockholm , the capital city of Sweden. The singer- song writer collaborate with several musician in order to write the “right” song.

She had a Zoom conversion with Norwegian producer Jowst (Norway, Eurovision 2017) and Lasse Piirainen (Finland Eurovision 2017)


She has also met Niklas Jarl, whi ius the writer behind Ireland’s entry for Eurovision 2012- “Waterline” (Jedward)

Another main player is Erik Dahlqvist who wrote “Bulletproof” for Dotter (Sweden, Melodifestivalen 2020)

But we haven’t seen it all, Lesley is planning to meet other Eurovision writers and producers in the near future!
