BTRC the Belarusian broadcaster had revealed that Arina Pehtereva will represent them in Warsaw.
12 year-old Arina is from Mogilev, Belarus won many local song competitions and also took part in “The Voice Kids”.
Her song for the Junior contest is called “Aliens”. talking about the song she was quoted :”The song was written in spring when the coronavirus spread around the world. The idea of my song is simple: The world has stopped, borders have closed, people can no longer visit each other and even the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 is different. But I believe that the future is in our hands, and it is up to us children to save the world and make it better!”
Belarus has debut the Junior contest in its first ever edition on 2003, and had no absence from the contest till now, participating every year. moreover, they won the contest twice, in 2005 with Ksenia Sitnik and the last time with Alexey Zhigalkovich and “”S druz’yami” (С друзьями)” in 2007
The 18th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will stay in Poland as of last winner’s winner Viki Gabor. there 13 countries will #MoveTheWorld on the night of November 29th where a new star will be born. this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in order to keep the artists and delegations safe, the acts will be pre-recorded on a local studio in each country together with an online voting making its comeback!
