Albania: More Details About “Festivali i Këngës 59” (Dates and Covid-19 Influences)

After the full line-up has been reveled, it’s time for more details about “Festivali i Këngës 59” – The national selection of Albania for Eurovision 2021.

Following the Covid-19 pandemic and the social distancing we can except the following changes:
For the first time in history, the festival will be held without an audience. In addition, we won’t see the orchestra.
The orchestra became one of the important components of the festival along the years.

In addition, until now it has been announced that the festival will be held in the 2nd half of December 2020. The final dates will be effected by the weather and the Covid-19 situation.
However, In an interview that gave the candidate Era Rusi , information about the potential dates was given.


At the moment, the planned dates are:
Semi-Final 1 of “Festivali i Këngës 59” will be held on Wednesday the 16th of December 2020
Semi-Final 2 of “Festivali i Këngës 59” will be held on Thursday the 17th of December 2020
The Grand Final of “Festivali i Këngës 59” will be held on Friday the 18th of December 2020

2. Anxhela Peristeri – Karma
3. Enxhi Nasufi – Njësoj (Same)
4. Xhesika Polo – Më mbron (Protect me)

6. Wendi Mancaku – Si ajo (Like Her)
7. Inis Neziri – Pendesë (Reprentance)
8. Orgesa Zaimi – Valixhja e kujtimeve (The suitcase of memories)
9. Era Rusi – Zjarri im (My fire)
10. Durim Morina (Mirud) – Nëse vdes (If I die)
11. Giliola Haveriku – E lirë (Free)
12. Fatos Shabani – Ty (You)
13. Florent Abrashi – Vajzë (Girl)
14. Sardi Strugaj – Kam me t’ba me kajt (“I’ll make you cry”)
15. Rosela Gjylbegu – Vashëzo
16. Stefan Marena – Meteor
17. Manjola Nallbani – Ora e jetës (Hour of Life)
