Italy will chose their artist and song for Eurovision 2021 via their traditional festival “Sanremo“.
As usual, there will be 2 groups of candidates: “Big Artists Section” (“Campioni”) and “New Comers” (Nuove proposte).
This year, 20 artists will compete from the group of “Campioni”.
The Italian broadcaster RAI will hold a live stream from Sanremo casino where those 20 artists will be revealed.
The reveling ceremony will be held on Thursday the 17th of December 2020.
It is possible that we will see some familiar faces and names from last years.
The festival will be held in the city of Sanremo. In will include 5 shows: the first one will be on Tuesday the 2nd of March 2021, while the last one will be held on Saturday the 6th of March 2021.
Last year, it was Antonio Diodato who won the festival with the song “Fai Rumore”.
Diodato should have represented Italy at Eurovision 2020.
It’s still unknown whether the singer chose to submit a song for “Sanremo 2021“
