Semi-Final 1 of will be held on Wednesday the 16th of December 2020
Semi-Final 2 of will be held on Thursday the 17th of December 2020
The Grand Final will be held on Friday the 18th of December 2020

As we’ve reported last week, Victoria‘s new song “Ugly Cry” is one of the potential songs of Bulgaria for Eurovision 2021. The singer will present additional 5 songs later on. One of those 6 songs will be chosen as the Bulgarian act for Eurovision 2021.
Elena Tsagrinou will represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2021

Elena will perform the song “El Diablo” (Eng: “The Devil“)..The song is about falling in love with someone as bad as El Diablo, a song composed and produced by Jimmy Thornfeld, Laurell Barker, Oxa, and Thomas Stengaard. The song may be released in March 2021.
The Group behind the song
Laurell is one of the best known song writers at Eurovision Song Contest song. In 2019 she co-wrote Luca Hanni’s “She Got Me” for Switzerland, which ended 4th place at the ESC. Laurell is also the only female songwriter to have 3 songs compete in a Eurovision final with 3 respective countries in one year.
Brazilian born songwriter, singer, dancer and artist Oxa, started her career in 2012 as a dancer for Jennfer Lopez’ Vegas show “Q’viva the chosen Live”, and has since then been doing Musicals such as The Lion King (Brazil), Tarzan (Germany) and Kinky Boots (Broadway). She also took part at ‘The Voice of Germany’ in 2019.
Jimmy “Joker” Thornfeldt
Jimmy Joker is a Swedish multiple Grammy Award Winner music producer and songwriter. He has had several number 1 on the charts worldwide and written and produced songs for artists like Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee and many more.
Thomas Stengaard is a Danish multi-platinum selling songwriter and producer. He won Eurovision in 2013 as a writer for Denmark with “Only Teardrops” by Emmelie DeForest, and in 2018 he came in 4th place having co-written/produced the German entry “You Let Me Walk Alone” by Michael Schulte. Apart from Eurovision he has written/produced for artists such as Nico Santos, Adel Tawil and Alvaro Soler, Carpark North and many many more.
Marvin Dietmann – The Artistic director
Marvin Dietmann Born in the 1980s in Vienna, Austria, Marvin Dietmann is a creative director with a multileveled experience in the entertainment industry. He has produced and worked as an artistic director for more than 180 TV shows across Europe, including a number of key roles at the Eurovision Song Contest over the past decade. In addition, Marvin Dietmann was behind the staging of Austria’s winning Eurovision entry in 2014 with Conchita Wurst.

Germany will choose their artist and song for Eurovision 2021 internally.
100 Eurovision fans were involved in the selection process. They have heard hundred of songs (without knowing who are the artists behind them). Thereafter, a jury panel of 20 international music experts (they all were juries at Eurovision) will reduce the list of artists and songs.
At the moment, 10 artists and 17 songs remained in the competition. The 2 panels will try to find the perfect match between the singers and the songs.
Daði Freyr revealed this week that he has finished working on the chorus of the planned song for Eurovision 2021
According to the Israeli broadcaster KAN, the 10 selected songs for Eurovision 2021 will be published on 5th-7th of December 2020. The public will pick their 2 favorites songs and the jury panel will selected another song.
On Thursday the 17th of December 2020, the Italian broadcaster RAI will hold a live stream from Sanremo casino where the 20 artists from Big Artists Section” (“Campioni”) category will be revealed.

300 songs were submitted for festival “Sanremo 2021”. None of them about the Covid-19 pandemic.
The singer Samanta Tina has been chosen to represent the country at Eurovision 2021.
Thee official page of The Eurovision Song Contest published a video where Samanta is sharing with us information about her journey to Eurovision 2021.
Lithuania will select their artist and song for Eurovision 2021 via the mechanism of “Pabandom iš naujo! (“Let’s try again!”) . This is the new format of the Lithuanian selection since 2020.
The selected acts for 2021 national selection haven’t been reveled yet.
The Roop won the national selection for Eurovision 2020 with the iconic song “On Fire“.

The broadcaster decided to hold a national selection. However, it has been already declared that “The Roop” will have a spot in the grand final of “Pabandom iš naujo 2021! , if they choose to compete again.

The question we were hearing since spring will be answered now – we decided to take part in the National Eurovision selection. We have a song and we have a vision. Let’s hope it will become Euro-vision.
The Serbian news 24SEDAM reports that the country will not change its representative for Eurovision 2021 and will send” Beovizija 2020″ winners Hurricane to Rotterdam.
In the article Oliverom Kovačević, the editor-in-chief of the RTS Entertainment Program, was quoted confirming the news saying
“Hurricane” will represent Serbia next year if Eurovision is held as announced. The song he will perform with will be chosen separately
One of the trio girl band Sanja Vučić was also asked to react the news and answered without delivering a confident approval to the news, saying “I’m really looking forward to it! But now I can’t say anything more on that topic, because I don’t know any details yet”
Until the bad will officially announced its participation on the 2021 celebration the massive buzz is happening just 3 days after the girls has launched not One but Three (!!) new songs. each one of them is followed by a fancy music video featuring the stars.
Blas Canto’ was internally chosen to represent the country at Eurovision 2021.
The singer will present 4 songs for Eurovision. One of them was co-written by Duncan Laurence (Eurovision 2019 winner who represented The Netherlands)
According to the official Instagram page of the “Melodifestivalen” competition, the 28 participants (and their acts names) will be reveled in 4 days from Friday (the 27 of November 2020).
Therefore, we can infer that the big news will come on Tuesday (the 1st of December 2020)
Meanwhile, the Swedish website Aftonbladet has mentioned additional potential artist to take part in the national selection for Eurovision 2021:
# 1. Danny Saucedo
The singer has participated in “Melodifestivalen” several times.
In 2009, he performed as a part of the group EMD and they ended in the 3rd place.
In 2011, he performed “In The Club” and ended as the runner-up.
The same thing happened in t he following year (2012) when he competed with “Amazing” and ended again in the 2nd place.
Recently, the singer has released songs in the Swedish language. May his “Melodifestivalen 2021” song be in Swedish as well?
# 2. Anton Ewald
Anton Ewald has already participated in “Melodifestivalen”. He qualified for the final in 2 different occasions. In 2013, he performed the song “Begging” and ended in the 4th place.
In 2014, he competed with the song “Natural” and ended in the 10th place in the final.
# 3. Charlotte Perrelli
Charlotte Perrelli is one the familiar faces of Sweden in Eurovision.
The singer represented the country in the years 1999 and 2008.
In 1999, she won with the song “Take Me To Your Heaven“.
In 2008, she performed the song “Hero“. The singer qualified for the final thanks to a wild-card that was given by the jury and ended in the 18th place in the final.
The singer competed in “Melodifestivalen” in 2 additional occasions.
In 2012, she performed the song “The Girl” and ended in the 5th place in the 4th semi-final (which means she didn’t qualify for the final).
In 2017, she competed with the song “Mitt Liv” and ended in the last place in the first semi-final (therefore she didn’t qualify for the final)
According to Aftonbladet, the singer will perform a glamorous pop hit at “Melodifestivalen 2021“
# 4.Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos
The two veteran Swedish entertainers will collaborate in “Melodifestivalen 2021“.
The two of them , participate in the Swedish remake of a British Television Comedy.
According to Aftonbladet, they may compete with a musical genre song.
# 5. Tess Merkel
Tess Merkel is well known as a part of the trio Alzacar. The band competed in “Melodifestivalen” 5 times. The other members of t he band Lina Hedlund and Andreas Lundstedt have already competed as a solo artists in the “Melodifestivalen“.Lina has even been one of the hosts of “Melodifestivalen 2020″.
The band last participation was in 2014 with the song “Blame It On The Disco“:
# 6. Kadiatou Holm Keita
Kadiatou Holm Keita rose to fame in 2018 when she competed in “The Swedish Idol“.
The singer ended as a runner-up in “The Swedish Idol 2018“.
According to her style, we can conclude that she will compete with a soul ballad in “Melodifestivalen 2021″.

# 7. Efraim Leo
It will be the debut for the singer in “Melodifestivalen 2021”. The singer has already tried to enter the competition in the past.

Lillasyster (Little Sister) is a Swedish rock band. The band started their activity in the year 2004. They have already released 5 studio albums.

Emil Assergård is a Swedish singer – song writer. He has been trying to enter the “Melodifestivalen” in the past and finally he made it this year.
So far, the singer has released 3 studio albums.

Nathalie Brydolf rose to fame in 2018 when she participated in “Swedish Idol” and ended in the 6th place.
According to Aftonbladet, the singer has participated in the writing camp for “Melodifestivalen” for 2 years. This year, she made it to the contest.
# 11. Frida Green
Frida Green rose to fame in 2018 when she participated in “Talang” and ended as a finalist. In 2020, she participated in “The Swedish Idol” but didn’t make it to the live shows.

According to the Instagram page of the singer Gjon’s Tears, the song for Eurovision 2021 has already been chosen. The singer is working now on the official video and the final recordings.
The song will probably be published on February 2021.
