In a interview with SB.by with Ivan Eismont has revealed that Belarusian broadcaster BTRC is currently suspended from the EBU for period of three years from 1st of July 2021 which means that they are suspended until 1st of July 2024.
Eurovision news website ESCPlus has confirmed that three years is the maximum length of time that a member broadcaster of the EBU can be suspended from the organisation. During this suspension EBU does have the ability to review the suspension of BTRC and can be reduced if is so desires.
2024 date does means that Belarus once again can compete in Eurovision Song Contest 2025 and Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
Last time Belarus meant to participate in Eurovision was in 2020 by VAL with song ”Da Vidna”.
