“The Looker”: Eurovision Wish List – Chapter 12 (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland)


Welcome to our new series of posts – “The Looker” where we will share our wish list of artists participating in Eurovision.
But before we start, let us remark that our recommendations will not necessarily come true (as for example some countries select their artists by reality shows)

This time we will concentrate on 3 countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland.


#1. EMIN

Emin Araz oglu Agalaro (better known as EMIN) is a 41 year old Azerbaijani-Russian singer and businessman. Emin’s father is Azerbaijani – Muslim and his mother is Jewish.
When he was 4 years old, the whole family moved to Moscow. When he was 13, his parents sent him to a school in Switzerland. In 1994, he moved to the USA.
Emin started to show interest in music after he finished high school in New Work.
In 2005, he started working on his vocals. In 2006, he released a debut album , “Stil” which sold over 70K copies in Russia and another 3oK copies in neighboring countries.
In the years 2007 – 2009 , he relaesd 3 albmus, and he gave live concerts in Moscow and Bako in the same years.
In 2010, he moved to London in order to enter the British music market. In 2011, he released the album “Wonder“. His song “Heart Keeps Beating” peaked at number 1 on the Russian music charts.
In 2012, he released another album –After The Thunder“. One of the singles from the album – “Baby Get Higher” – entered BBC 2 Radio on the A-List.
In 2012, he performed as one of the interval acts at Eurovision 2012 in Baku. He sang the song “Never Enough“:

In 2014, Emin won the award for Best-selling Azerbaijan Artist.
In the years 2014 – 2019 he released another 8 albums!
In 2021, he released the album “LOVE IS“.

In 2017, he released the song “Good Love“:


In 2019, he released the song “Let Me Go“:

In 2021, he released the song “Отпусти и Лети” (Eng: Let go and fly):

Emin is an experienced singer, with an impressive resume. We already know he is excellent at performing live. His genre can be defined as mainstream pop, influenced by Russian music.


#2. Fidan Aliva

Fidan Aliva is a 30 year old Azerbaijani singer, songwriter and producer.
Fidan was born in Baku, where she graduated from a school of Violin.
In 2009, she moved to Austria. She started producing tracks for local and international artists, was involved in international festivals and events, as a music producer, such as Grand Prix F1, ZHARA Music Festival, New Wave Sochi.
In 2018 Fidan moved back to Baku for several music projects and founded her own music production label.
In 2020, she released her debut EP “Molecule 90“.
Her music was spotted by top 10 UK, top 50 Irish and US press, aired in the UK, Italian, Romanian and other EU radio stations, featured in international music blogs and podcasts, and appeared in the online top charts (UK) and online global charts.
Fidan also produces music for films, ads, personal and commercial projects. Her songs are licensed by popular brands.
She mentioned Björk, Bonobo, RyX and Olafur Arnalds, as artists who inspire her.

Fidan Aliva is a brilliant musician. She combines pop music with classical motives, and a soft voice.
Her music is special, due to the fact she joins east music and west music at the same breath.

#3.Tomris

Tomris Nailqizi (better known as Tomris) is a 27 year old Azerbaijani singer.
Tomris hasn’t released an album yet, but with each single she releases, her popularity increases.
Eurovision isn’t just about giving the stage to experienced artists, but giving the springboard to artists with the potential to succeed.

Tomris is a young and talented singer. She sings in the Azerbaijani language and you can hear sings mainstream pop, as well as ballads with traditional motives. We believe that this is the time for Azerbaijan to perform in their language in Eurovision.
Tomris would be a wonderful candidate to lead it

#1. Nini Bregvadze

Nini Bregvadze (better known as Nini) is a 25 year old Georigan singer.
She was born in 1996 in Tbilisi
The singer rose to fame in 2015, when she participated in the second season “X-Factor Georgia“. One of the mentors was Georgian-Greek singer Tamta, who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2019.
In 2016, the singer released her debut album “Crazy I“. Thereafter, she continued working on her music and released several singles.
Currently, Nini is based in New Work city, where she is trying to push her musical career.
Her music can be described as a combination of pop and R&B.

Nini is a young talented singer with a worldwide quality. Her songs are radio-friendly, but at the same time have something unique in them. Nini shows verstile abilities in her music, flirting with rap and hip-hop while mainly doing pop and R&B. I believe she might be the one to trust at Eurovision.


#2.Nutsa Buzaladze

Nutsa Buzaladze is a 24 year old Georgian singer. Nusta is well known for her participation in several music festivals.
At the age of 7, she learned to play the piano and was a member of the children band Mziuri.
At the end of 2013, the singer competed in the 3th season of “The Voice of Turkey“. She was eliminated in the semi-finals, and her mentor was Hadise (who represented Turkey at Eurovision 2009).
In 2013, at the age of 16, Nutsa took part in the Georgian version of “Your face sounds familiar” where she reached the finals.
In 2014, the singer won the world music festival “New Wave“.
The singer also participated in the Georgian version of “Dancing With Stars“.
In 2017, Nutsa took part in the national selection for Eurovision 2017. She performed the song “White Horses Run” and ended up in 2nd place, behind Tamara Gachechiladze who represented the country in Eurovision 2017.

In 2019, she released the EP “22” to celebrate her age at the same year.
In 2020, she participated in the Russian version of  “All Together Now“, where she was mentored by Sergey Lazarev (who represented Russia in Eurovision 2016 + 2019). She ended up in 2nd place in the competition. A year later, she participated in the “All Star” season of “All Together Now“.
In 2021, she participated in the Albanian music festival “Kenga Magjike 2021″. She was awarded the best international act with the song “We Are One“.

With rich experience on different big stages all over the world (Georgia, Russia, Albania, Turkey, Latvia and more), it seems that Nutsa Buzaladze might be the right choice for Georgia in Eurovision. Her powerful voice and stage presence are irresistible.

#3.Giorgi Kelaptrishvili

Giorgi Kelaptrishvili is a 30 year old Georgian singer.
He rose to fame in 2018, when won the second season of the show “Only Georgian”.
His grandfather, Omar Kelaptrishvili, was a famous singer in Georgia.

In July 2019, he collaborated with Sofia Nizharadze (who represented Georgia at Eurovision 2010) on the song “ძველი ჰანგი” (Eng: Old Tune):

In 2021, he released the song “სიყვარულის სიმღერა” (Eng: Love Song):

Giorgi Kelaptrishvili knows how to make jazz ballads with light motives 1980’s music accessible.
He has a pleasant voice and the potential to bring “out of the box” entry to Eurovision.


#1.Clödie

Clödie is a Polish rock band that was formed in 2012.
The current band members are:

  • Klaudia Trzepizur (lead singer)
  • Krzysztof Mrzygłód (keyboards)
  • Olaf Olszewski (guitar)
  • Jacek Czekaj (bass)
  • Mateusz Królica (drums)

The lead singer Klaudia Trzepizur started her career by releasing covers on YouTube.
Before the forming of Clödie, Klaudia was the lead vocalist of the band Latent Effect.
In 2013, Klaudia participated in the 5th season of the television musical talent competition “Tylko Muzyka“, where she was eliminated in the semi-finals. In 2014, the singer competed in the 4th season of “The Voice of Poland”, where she was eliminated in the battles round.
In the early years of activity, the band released music only in the Polish language. Their first single was released in 2014.
The tipping point in the band’s popularity occurred in 2018 when they uploaded their special cover of the song “Zombie” by The Cranbarries. Right to the date of this article, the cover has gained over 30 million views.
The band’s first single in English was “Go!” which was released in 2018.
In 2018, the band submitted the song “Go!” as a potential Eurovison entry. Clödie wasnn’t shortlisted as one of the 10 acts to take part in the national selection show (among 250 submitted songs).


In 2019, Poland chose their act for Eurovision internally. The band chose to try their luck once again. This time it was the song “Devil in Disguise“. The song wasn’t chosen for Eurovision, but helped the band push their limits by being charted on digital charts in ten countries around the world.
Since then, the band has released original songs, alongside successful covers of songs by Pink, Bryan Adams, and more.

Clödie suggest high quality rock songs. Their sound is a mix of glam rock from the 1980’s- 1990’s and modern music motives. We already know that the band is highly motivated to represent Poland at Eurovision. Therefore, I think Clödie will be one of the best choices for Poland at Eurovision.


#2.Bovska

Magda Grabowska-Wacławek (better known as Bovska) is a 36 year old Polish illustrator, singer and lyricist.
She has graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
In 2015, she released her first single “Kaktus“. The single achieved a lot of positive reviews. On the 10th of August 2016, the single was certified gold, selling 10,000 copies. 
Later on, she released her debut album “Kaktus” under the label Warner Music Poland.
The album peaked at 23rd position in the Polish music charts.
In 2016, the singer was nominated for MTV European Music Award for best Polish performer.
In 2017, she was nominated for best debut artist at the Fryderyk awards.
In 2017, she released her second album “Pysk” (Eng: Mouth) which peaked at 48th position in the Polish music charts.
In 2018, she released her 3rd album – “Kęsy” (Eng: billets).
In 2020, she released her 4th album – “Sorrento” which peaked at 46th position in the Polish music charts. In 2019 and 2020, 2 of her singles peaked at number 1 in the charts.

With fine production, Bovska brings a fresh air of pop music, combined with foundations of Indie and electronic music. Her music, will make everyone move, even the indifferent people. Therefore, she can be a wonderful choice for Poland at Eurovision.


#3.Dawid Podsiadło

Dawid Henryk Podsiadło is a 28 year old Polish singer – songwriter. He rose to fame in 2012, when he won the 2nd season of “X – Factor Poland“. Dawid was mentored by singer Tatiana Okupnik. After winning the contest, he signed a contract with Sony Music.
The singer released his debut album “Comfort and Happiness” in 2013. The album peaked at number one on the Polish Albums Chart. The album certified triple Platinum the same year. The album received a Diamond certification in 2015 and was the best-selling album in Poland in 2013.
In 2014, Dawid released the album “Ruby Dress Skinny Dog” with his band Curly Heads. The album peaked at number 4 on the Polish Albums Chart  and was certified gold. The album was nominated for best rock album of the year at the Fryderyk awards.
Dawid’s second solo album, “Annoyance and Disappointment,” was released in 2015. It certified Diamond and peaked at number one on the Polish Albums Chart.
In 2018, he released his 3rd studio album “Małomiasteczkowy” (Eng: Provincial). The album peaked at number one on the Polish Albums Chart and certified 2XDiamond.
In 2019, he released an EP of live acoustic versions of his songs – “na żywo, akustycznie” (Eng: live, acoustically). Since then, he has managed to release singles, some of them peaked top 10 positions at Polish charts.

In 2021, he released the duet “Za krótki sen” (Eng: Sleeping is too short) with the singer Daria Zawiałow:

Dawid Podsiadło is one of the most successful singers in Poland. He has got charisma, a charming voice and catchy songs. He sings both in Polish and English, while his genre is rock-pop with influences of blues. I believe he would be a good fit for Poland at Eurovision
