Another country joins the list of countries that will participate in Eurovision 2022.
This time it is the Baltic country Estonia.
Estonian broadcaster ERR confirmed the news to Eurovision website ESC Today.
As in previous years, Estonia will choose an artist and a song via their traditional selection process “Eesti Laul“.
ERR will open a submission window in September 2021.
In the 2 previous years, foreign writers and songs with non- Estonian texts were allowed only with a higher participation fee.
Following last year’s format, we can probably infer that 24 songs will be shortlisted into “Eesti Laul 2022″.
“Eesti Laul” usually includes 2 semi-finals and a grand final. The results were determined by a combination of jury voting and public voting.
The selected songs will be revealed towards December 2021 or even a little bit later.
We expect the shows to be held from the end of February 2022 to the beginning of March 2021.
Who will follow the steps of Uku Suviste in representing Estonia at Eurovision?
Stay tuned until the full regulation of “Eesti Laul 2022” is revealed at the beginning of September 2021.
