He started releasing music in public in 1998.
At the beginning of his career, he was the lead singer of the punk rock band Turbonegro.
The band disbanded in 1998, due to Hank‘s heroin addiction that made him unable to perform.
After going through rehab, Turbonegro reunited in 2002, but the band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2010.
In 2009, he had the great hit “Rom for alle” with “Melodi Grand Prix 2021” participant Maria Solheim. The song was number 1 in the Norwegian charts for 3 consecutive weeks:

Hank became known to Eurovision fans in 2019, when he participated in “Melodi Grand Prix 2019“.
He performed the song “Fake It”:
One of the artists who reacted to his death was the Norwegian singer Carina Dahl.

This is just so sad 💔 Dad woke me up at home in Trh today with news that has made the day here heavy .. Uncle Hank, the memories pass on! From the time you probably gave 4 speeches (😂) on my birthday because you always had so much on your mind, until you scared away tired boys from me & little sister that it was “you who were uncle hank”! For wonderful dinners together with shared food joy & not least when we compete in MasterChef and MGP! I enter the stage tonight with you in my heart 💔 See you again
Husby leaves behind his daughter Else Victoria who he has with his ex-wife Gro Skaustein
