North Macedonia Reveals their plans for Eurovision 2022

North Macedonian national broadcaster MRT has been announced that song submissions are open for new, original, unpublished materials that can be entry for North Macedonia at Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

From the submitted entries MRT will select the best of 6 compositions that will be publicly presented to the audience which leads that the national selection method for North Macedonia will return since the last time was used in 2015. Daniel Kajmakoski with the song ”Autumn Leaves” won ”Skopje Fest 2015” and represented North Macedonia at Eurovision 2015.

Winner of national selection 2022 will be chosen by 50% jury and 50% public votes. The song and author/performing team will receive an amount of 2,000 euros from MRT for final post-production and mastering of the songs.

Submissions rules are:

-Song must not be longer than 3 mins and not been announced or publicly performed
-Performers and authors must be citizens of the Republic of Northern Macedonia. If one of the authors are outside of North Macedonia, the team must be consists at least one of North Macedonian citizens

MRT will publish the final decision of the selection of the songs that will participate in the national selection on the website after the expert jury will review them.

Song Submissions are open until 16th January 2022.
