Amanda Tenfjord Will Represent Greece at Eurovision 2022

A few minutes ago, Greek broadcaster ERT revealed the identity of Greek representative for Eurovision 2022.
The singer – songwriter  Amanda Tenfjord (Amanda Georgiadis) will represent Greece!

About Amanda

Amanda Georgiadis is a Greek singer who lives in Norway.
She is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter who was born in Oslo.
In her childhood, she lived in Greece, but later on, moved to Tenfjord in Norway (and that’s why her stage name is Amanda Tenfjord).
In 2020, one of her songs “Troubled Water”  was included in the TV series “Spinning Out”.
Besides music, currently she is studying in the faculty of medicine.
The singer will perform emotional ballad. She has written the song by herself.
Amanda wrote the song following a meaningful break-up.
Norwegian musician Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter is the producer behind the song.

Greece’s Selection Process for Eurovision 2022

The broadcaster has opened a submission window for Eurovision 2022. The deadline was the 10th of October 2021. Greek Music Labels were able to submit their proposals. They should name artists with 1-3 songs. 
ERT has received more than 40 songs from 25 different artists.

ERT revealed the identity of the 5 finalists:

  • Amanda Tenfjord
  • Good Job Nicky
  • Elias Kozas
  • Lou Is
  • Joanna Drigo (Ioanna Drigopoulo)

 They have been chosen by a professional jury composed of Giannis PetridisMaria KozakouFotis ApergisPetros Adam, and chairman Dimitris Papadimitriou.
The 5 songs included 2 ballads and 3 midtempo-up-tempo songs.
