Ukrainian broadcaster Suspile has announced that in total 284 submissions were received for Vidbir 2022.
After a months-long submissions period, a total of 284 songs were received.8 finalists for the Vidbir 2022 will be announced by 24th January 2022 and the final will be taking 12th February 2022 to select the hopeful who will be representing the nation at Eurovision 2022. The winner will be determined by public and jury voting.

Last Vidbir in 2020 was used Go_A won the selection with the song ”Solovey” and was meant to represent the nation at Eurovision 2020. But in 2021 Go_A was chosen internally with the song ‘‘Shum” at Eurovision 2021 and came in 5th place in the grand final.
