Earlier this morning, we got the news: Luna Ki has decided to give up competing in “Benidorm Fest 2022” – the Spanish selection for Eurovision 2022.
The news has been reported on the RTVE website.
The reason she chose to withdraw was because of the ban on using auto-tune in the live performance. The decision follows EBU regulations which forbid auto-tune.
The singer made an official announcement on her Twitter account,
The singer explained her decision by saying auto-tune is a common tool in the music industry. It has been used by singer Cher since 1998.
