San Marino: Achille Lauro Will Perform “Stripper” at Eurovision 2022

San Marino has finally chosen an artist and a song for Eurovision 2022!

Early Rounds:


The selection started at the beginning of this week.
The selections included 2 different paths:

Emerging Artists



66 artists from different countries (Italy, San Marino, United Kingdom, Norway, Czech Republic, Germany, Brazil and more) competed in 4 semi-finals.
After a second-chance round and a final for the emerging artists, 9 of them got spots in the final:

  2. Sebastian Schimdt (Germany 🇩🇪)
  3. Camille Cabaltera (Italy 🇮🇹)
  4. Vina Rose (Italy 🇮🇹)
  5. Maria Chiara Leoni (Italy 🇮🇹)

  7. Kurt Cassar (Malta 🇲🇹)
  8. Mate (Italy 🇮🇹) – DNA
  9. Elena & Francesco Faggi (Italy 🇮🇹)

Established Artists

9 artists have guaranteed their spots in the final in advance:

  1. Achille Lauro – Italian singer who participated in “Festival Di Sanremo 2022″.
  2. Farby & Labiuse feat. Miodio [Miodio represented San Marino in their debut at Eurovision 2008]
  3. Tony Cicco & Deshedus & Alberto Fortis
  4. Matteo Faustini – Italian singer who participated in “Festival Di Sanremo 2020″.
  5. Ivana Spagna – Italian singer who became known in 1980s
  6. Valerio Scanu – The winner of “Festival Di Sanremo 2010″
  7. Burak Yeter & Alessandro Coli – Burak is a Turkish DJ that rose to fame in 2016, after releasing a hit that became successful in Europe.
  8. Francesco Monte
  9. Cristina Ramos – winner of “Spain’s Got Talent” in 2016
  10. Blind – withdrawn due to health issues

The Final:

Tonight, the 18 finalists conquered the stage with live performances.

  7. Elena & Francesco Faggi (Italy 🇮🇹) – Nothing Can Blow Me Out

A jury panel of 5 members voted to determine the results:

  • Mogol – Head of the Jury
  • Susanne Georgi – represented Andorra at Eurovision 2009
  • Dino Stewart – Director, BMG Italy
  • Clarissa Martinelli – Radio Presenter
  • Simon Lee – copmoser and producer

After all the acts have been performed and the tension in the air is well felt, it is now the time for the results to be revealed

Therefore, Achille Lauro will represent San Marino at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Stripper”.

At Eurovision:

San Marino will participate in the first half of semi-final 2 of Eurovision 2022 to be aired on the 12th of May 2022.
If San Marino qualifies, the country will participate in the grand final on the 14th of May 2022
