About Marius Bear
Marius Bear is a 28 year old musician.
In 2016, he left his career as a construction machinery mechanic in order to focus on music. He started by trying his luck as a street musician in Germany and Switzerland.
In 2017, he travelled to the UK, where he studied music production at the prestigious BIMM Institute in London. At the same chance, he started to write songs for other artists.
In 2019, he released his debut album “Not Loud Enough” which became top20 in the Swiss charts.
About the Selection Process
The artist and the entry was chosen in a similar process of selecting 2019 and 2020 entries, combining the broadcast opinions together with a 100 audience panel and an international expert jury. Among the jury this time some familiar faces to the Eurovision fans such as Gabriela Horn (A.K.A PÆNDA) who represented Austria in 2019, Ilinca Bacilli (Romania 2017), and Tinkara Kovač (Slovenia 2014).
The international jury list can be found here.
The singer reacted to the song:
“I learned very early on that I don’t need to be ashamed of my feelings. As a man, I’m not afraid to cry and to lay bare my weaknesses to my audience. I don’t want to wear emotional armour, I want to be who I am. I want to encourage my audience to do the same”
Switzerland will participate in the first half of semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2022 which will be held on the 10th of May 2022.
If the country qualifies, Switzerland will perform in the grand final on May 14, 2022
