Austria at Eurovision 2022: Listen To “Halo” By LUM!X and Pia Maria

The Austrian song for Eurovision 2022 will be released at midnight local time on digital platforms on different digital platforms

Following the internal selection process, ORF has chosen DJ LUM!X and Pia Maria to represent Austria at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Halo”.

They will perform a dance pop song with some 1980’s and 1990’s elements.

About the performers

Luca Michlmayr, better known as LUM!X is 19 years old Austrian DJ. Despite his young age, the young artist has already achieved more than 72 million YouTube views to his tracks. He had great success on Spotify as well.
LUM!X was born to an Italian mother and he has even lived in Turin as a child.
He will be joined by the vocalist Pia Maria. She is an 18 year old singer. Eurovision will be her first performance on a big stage

Pia Maria commented following the decision to record the video clip at the Kunsthistorisches Museum

“We felt like we were in a movie. A night at the museum. The video should show all facets of Austria: from rococo to current electronic music”

Austria will compete in the second half of semi-final 1 which will be held on the 10th of May 2022.
If the country qualifies, Austria will participate in the grand final on the 14th of May 2022
