Romania Confirms Participation in Eurovision 2023

TVR‘s Board of Directors held an official meeting in order to determine the participation of Romania in Eurovision 2023.
The reason for such a discussion was raised due to the incident in Eurovision 2022, where the jury voting of 6 countries were disqualified.
The EBU suspected irregular patterns in the voting of 6 countries (Romania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, San Marino and Montenegro)

This means that these countries were suspected to favour voting for each other in purpose.

11 members of TVR’s management voted in favour of participation at Eurovision 2023.
In addition, they voted to consider contacting some law firms from Switzerland to evaluate the chances of sue the EBU, due to the mentioned incident in Eurovision 2022.
