As the deadline for withdrawing from Eurovision 2023 without a financial penalty came, Azerbaijan confirms officially participation at Eurovision 2023.
Earlier this year, some speculation claimed the country would probably withdraw.
However we are happy to deny the rumors.
The selection process for Eurovision 2023 is still unknown.
However, The Azeri broadcaster Ictimai Television will put “The Voice of Azerbaijan” as one of the main TV shows in the upcoming winter.
By that, we can suggest that it is possible to have the winner of “The Voice of Azerbaijan” as potential Eurovision 2023 representative.

In the recent years, Azerbaijan selected both the artist and the song via an internal selection.
The last time when Azerbaijan used a national selection to choose the song for Eurovision was 2013.
Nadir Rustamli represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2022 with the power ballad “Fade to Black”.
He finished in the 16th place in the final.
