LRT Chief Producer Audrius Giržadas says:

“Every year, the Eurovision Song Contest unites and gathers people in front of television screens throughout Lithuania, Europe and even the world. This is not only an important tradition, but also a unique opportunity to show this huge audience the work of Lithuanian music artists, who we are often proud of within the country.
In recent years, in order to further raise the bar for the quality of the Eurovision national selection, we have provided support to the contestants. We will continue this, because we hope that in the selections we will see and hear both artists who attract full arenas and talented artists who are even less heard by the Lithuanian audience”
Pabandom iš Naujo 2023 will be no longer than five shows. They will have:
- Heat 1
- Heat 2
- Semi Final 1
- Semi Final 2
- Grand Final
If there are less number of submissions selection will have fewer shows.
All stages will be monitored by the audit company. Artists or groups will be able to perform with only one act. This first heat is planned to be held in January 2023.
Audience voting results are only shown at the end of each show; during the selection, money will be received from the audience’s vote on LRT, along with other financial support from the public broadcaster, which will be used to improve Lithuanian entry at Eurovision 2023.
