It’s been revealed by Romanian broadcaster TVR that 12 finalists will try to represent Romania at Eurovision Song Contest 2023. This year Romanian broadcaster have received 85 songs from the submissions.
A mix of artists from Romania and abroad selected a shortlist of 12 hopefuls.
The jury consisted of:

- Bogdan Stratula (Radio/TV Director)
- John Varbiu (Festival Founder)
- Alin Vaida (Festival Director)
- Mihai Predescu (Head of Delegation)
- Unannounced* (Project Director)
12 Hopefuls are:

Andrada Popa – “No time for me”
Andreea D Folclor Orchestra – “Periniţa mea”

Steven Roho x Gabriella x Formaţia Albatros – “Lele”

Selecţia Naţională 2023 will take place on the 11th of February 2023 in the TVR studios. The result will be decided through a 100% public vote.
WRS represented Romania at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Llámame”.
He finished in 18th place in the final.
