12 artists will try to represent Romania at Eurovision Song Contest 2023. This year Romanian broadcaster have received 85 songs from the submissions.

The jury panel that shortlisted the submissions, consisted of:

- Bogdan Stratula (Radio/TV Director)

- Alin Vaida (Festival Director)
- Mihai Predescu (Head of Delegation)
- Unannounced* (Project Director)
Selecţia Naţională 2023 will take place on the 11th of February 2023 in the TVR studios. The result will be decided through a 100% public vote.
WRS represented Romania at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Llámame”.
He finished in 18th place in the final.
