Moldovan broadcaster TRM has revealed the list of 33 acts who qualified for the auditions round.
The national broadcaster received a total of 60 songs.

“Etapa Naţională 2023” – What Next?
- On the 28th of January 2023, the auditions will be broadcast live, starting at 14:00 local time.
- A jury panel consisting of 3-5 members will watch the live performances.
- Only 10 artists will qualify for the show.
- The televised show “Etapa Naţională 2023” will be held between 25th of February and 5th of March 2023.
- The results of the final will be determined by 50% public vote and 50% national jury.
Participants
Among the participants, we can recognize some familiar names.
Sunstroke Project represented Moldova at Eurovision 2010 and 2017. In 2017, they performed the song “Hey Mamma” and finished in the 3rd place in the final – the best achievement of the country at Eurovision so far.
Vera Turcanu is well known for her two impressive attempts in the Moldovan selection.
She participated in the selection for Eurovision 2018 (“Black Heart”) and Eurovision 2019 (“Cold”)
Pasha Parfeni represented the country at Eurovision 2012 with the song “Lăutar“. He finished in the 11th place in the final
Aliona Moon represented Moldova at Eurovision 2013 with the song “O Mie”.
She finished in 11th place in the final:
Sasha Bognibov is well known for his multiple attempts in the Moldovan selection.
He usually submits songs with questionable titles, like “I just had sex with you Ex“, “My Friend is Gay” and more.
