Ilaha Dadashova, the head of press in the Azerbaijani delegation for Eurovision reacted:

As we mentioned earlier, during this year’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, special attention was paid to the fact that the songwriters were Azerbaijani. In addition to this factor, 5 performers and their songs were selected taking into account other parameters

These 5 artists are:

#1. Mamagama group

Last December, they participated in the international music competition “Kenga Magjike 2022”, which was held in Albania.
They ended in the highest place for non-Albanian artist. However, this isn’t their song for Eurovision

#2. Humay Aslanova and Amrah Musayev

Amrah Musayev (the male half of the duo) participated in “The Voice of Azerbaijan”.
