Czechia Confirmed as Czech Republic’s New Name at Eurovision

As can clearly be seen on Eurovision.TV website, Vesna will represent Czechia at Eurovision 2023.
Eurovision fans have been waiting impatiently for the official announcement of Vesna as the country’s representative.

Now, we learn that the reason for the long wait is the change of name: Let’s welcome Czechia, as the “former” Czech Republic.

The country first competed at Eurovision 2007 and then didn’t participate in the contest between the years 2010-2014

Czechia” first appeared in 2016 and has represented the country on several international occasions like the Olympic games, UEFA and more

Therefore, Vesna will perform “My Sister’s Crown” at Eurovision 2023.
Vesna will defend the colours of Czechia‘s flag in Liverpool.



Czechia will compete in the second half of semi-final 1 at Eurovision 2023.
