On the 11th of February 2023, Italy held the final of “Festival Di Sanremo 2023”.
Marco Mengoni won the festival with the song “Due Vite”

Shortly after the final, the singer accepted the invitation to represent Italy at Eurovision 2023.
However, he has had some doubts regrading the song he will perform in Liverpool.

According to his previous announcements, he spent some time in the studio, in order to see whether he can suggest another song.

However, now we can reveal, that according to OGAE Italy, Marco has decided to stick to the original plan. The singer will perform “Due Vite” at Eurovision 2023.

To confirm this, the entry “Eurovision 2023” as well as the # Eurovision has been added in the title of the official video of the winning song of the Sanremo Festival.

You can watch the official video clip here:

Eagle eyed Eurovision fans have probably paid attention that the song is too long to compete at Eurovision. The song’s duration is 3:46 minutes. Therefore. at least 46 seconds of the song should have been removed in order be aligned with the Eurovision regulations.

We expect to get a new version in the upcoming days!

As one of the Big 5 countries, Italy will compete in the grand final of Eurovision 2023.
