Belgium Confirms Eurovision 2024 Participation

This is another confirmation for Eurovision 2024: Belgium confirmed they will compete in Eurovision 2024.

As for Belgium, there are 2 national broadcasters:

  • RTBF – French-speaking Community of Belgium
  • VRF – Flemish Community of Belgium

The two broadcasters rotate selection for the Eurovision Song Contest each year.
For example, in the years 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022 it was RTBF‘s responsibility to lead Eurovision participation. Meanwhile, in the years 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 (and 2021 due to the fact that Eurovision was canceled) and 2023 it was VRT’s turn.

Therefore, this year RTBF will lead the selection process for the country.
Traditionally, RTBF prefers to select the artist and song internally (as they did in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022). This will probably be the selection process for Eurovision 2024 as well.
Last year, VRF held the national selection “Belgium Eurosong 2023” with 7 artists.

Who would you like to see representing Belgium at Eurovision 2024?

He performed the song “Because of You” and ended0up 7th in the final with a total of 182 points

With this, Belgium joins the list of countries that have confirmed participation in Eurovision 2024: Sweden, Norway, Finland, Israel, Moldova, Estonia, Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Serbia, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Ukraine, Portugal, and San Marino

Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-final will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11h of May 2024
