German broadcaster KiKa has annouced that an online national final will be used to select the German entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
On 8th September 2023 5 candidates will be revealed for the online national selection.On the same day, a video of each candidate will be performing one minute version of their entries will be released on the official KiKa website.
The results of the national final will be decided by online voting (50%) and an international expert jury (50%). The online voting will open on September 8 2023 and will remain open until September 17 2023. Only residents of Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be able to vote. On September 18, the day after the public vote closes, the winner will be announced. In case of a tie, the entry with the higher score in the online vote will be selected for Nice, France. The winning song will then made into a full studio version with an accompanying music video, which is expected to be released on October 13 2023.
Pauline represented Germany at Junior Eurovison 2021 with the song ”Imagine Us”. She came in 17th place with 61 points.
Junior Eurovision 2023 will take place in Nice, France on 26th November 2023.
