Swedish broadcaster SVT will select its Eurovision 2027 entry via “Melodifestivalen 2027“.

“Melodifestivalen 2027” – Rumored Artists
Swedish media, especially Aftonbladet, reported additional names of potential artists who are rumored to compete in “Melodifestivalen 2027″.
We would like to highlight that the names aren’t officially confirmed by SVT.

#14. Imenella
Imenella is one of Sweden’s biggest hip-hop artists. The 38-year-old singer is rumored to be making her “Melodifestivalen” debut. She broke through in 2018 with the song “Chagga”.
In 2019, she won the “Newcomer of the Year” award. She has also developed her career as a dance teacher and actress. Over the years, she has collaborated with artists like Petter, Ison & Fille, Cherrie, Dree Low, and Blade.
15. Ulrik Munther
The 32-year-old singer Ulrik Munther is rumored to make a “Melodifestivalen” comeback.
In 2009, he won the junior versionLila Melodifestivalen”.
He participated in “Melodifestivalen” twice and managed to finish 3rd on those occasions.

In 2024, he performed a special tribute as an interval act in “Melodifestivalen”, together with Måns Zelmerlöw, Eric Saade, Casper Janebrink, Björn Gustafsson, Adam Lundgren, Boris René, Filip Berg, Victor Leksell and Loa Falkman.
16. Bishara
Bishara Morad is mostly known for his “Melodifestivalen” debut in 2019 with “On My Own”
Ever since then, he has taken a few years’ break from the industry.
Recently, Bishara has become more active on social media. Bishara was rejected for his entry last year but is now happy to have been accepted for Melodifestivalen 2027.
17. Kevin Walker
The 37-year-old football professional, Kevin Walker, who stepped into the music industry in 2013, is about to make his “Melodifestivalen” debut.
In 2013, he won “Swedish Idol”. His music career was put on hold for years. But in 2024, he hung up his football boots and chose to focus on music again.
Over the last year, he has worked with Fredrik Andersson, who was in charge of several “Melodifestivalen” entries, like “If I Were Sorry” (Eurovision 2016), “Mirakel” (Melodifestivalen 2012), “I Won’t Shake” (Melodifestivalen 2024), and “Berusade ord” (Melodifestivalen 2026).

18. Love Stenmarck
Love Stenmarck comes from a family in which “Melodifestivalen” is a tradition.
His mother, Hanna Hedlund, competed in “Melodifestivalen” in 2000, 2002, and 2013, while his father, Martin Stenmarck, competed 4 times in “Melodifestivalen” in 2005, 2014, 2016, and 2019.
Love Stenmarck rose to fame this year, when he competed in “Swedish Idol” this year and ended 2nd.

19. Caspar Camitz
The 31-year-old singer Caspar Camitz is rumored to take part in “Melodifestivalen 2027″.
Casper finished 4th in “Swedish Idol 2020”.

20. Dom Första
Dom Första is a Swedish group formed in 2021 and includes the following members: Erik Olsson, Jonatan Jernberg, and Christopher Brunzell.

21. Little Sis Nora
Little Sis Nora is mostly known for her big hit “I’m an Albatraoz” from 2014, where she collaborated with her big brother Aron Chupa (real name: Aron Ekberg). The official video has gained over 1.5 billion views.
She has developed her solo career since then, as well as collaborating with Hooja.
Currently, she is accompanying Käärijä on his European tour.
According to Aftonbladet, she will compete with a K-Pop song.

“Melodifestivalen 2027” – Known Details
- Björn Kjellman and Oscar Zia will host “Melodifestivalen 2027″.
- The selected jury will shortlist the submitted songs.
- The competition will consist of 6 shows: 5 semi-finals and a grand final.
- The show will be held on the following dates and in the cities”
- Semi-Final 1: Saturday, February 6th, 2027 (Löfbergs Arena, Karlstad)
- Semi-Final 1: Saturday, February 13th, 2027 (Scandinavium, Göteborg)
- Semi-Final 1: Saturday, February 20th, 2027 (Malmö Arena, Malmö)
- Semi-Final 1: Saturday, February 27th, 2027 (Halmstad Arena, Halmstad)
- Semi-Final 5: Saturday, March 6th, 2027 (Himmelstalundshallen, Norrköping)
- Final: Saturday, March 13th, 2027 (Strawberry Arena, Stockholm)
- 4,077 songs were submitted to the “Melodifestivalen 2027″.
- 30 acts will compete in the semi-final, 12 of them will qualify for the final.
- There aren’t any restrictions regarding the language of the songs.
- At least 30% of the chosen acts will be performed in Swedish.
- At least 50% of the chosen songs must feature female writers/composers.
- Any Swedish citizen/resident can apply. Foreign performers are welcome, as long as at least one of the songwriters/composers is Swedish.
- Performers must be at least 18 years old by May 2027.
- All submitted songs must not have been released before the contest.
- The song duration must be between 2 and 3 minutes.
- SVT might invite some performers, writers and composers to submits songs.
- The 30 selected artists and the team behind each song will be revealed in a press conference in November-December 2026.

It will be the first time that Halmstad and Norrköping host a “Melodifestivalen” show.
As almost alwsys, Stockholm will get to host the final.
