In 2023, North Macedonia didn’t take part in the Eurovision Song Contest, due to financial issues.
However, the national broadcaster took part in Junior Eurovision 2022.
Earlier this year, North Macedonia confirmed participation in Junior Eurovision 2023 with Tamara Grujeska as its representative.

Earlier this weekend, the North Macedonian broadcaster MRT released a long PDF document: ПРЕДЛОГ ГОДИШНА ПРОГРАМА ЗА РАБОТА НА ШРП МАКЕДОНСКА РАДИО ТЕЛЕВИЗИЈА ЗА 2024 ГОДИНА (Eng: Proposed Annual Work Program for Macedonian Radio and TV For The Year 2024).
The word Eurovision is mentioned 6 times.
The most important paragraph is the following one, which can be interpreted as Eurovision participation:
The program of Macedonian Radio Television in 2024 will be
also marked by the participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 where
Macedonian musical values will be presented through the participating song
at this festival.

Regarding music festivals, the following programs and shows will be managed by MRT:
MUSIC FESTIVALS – Eurovision Song Contest, Festival of Original Songs and
instrument Pece Atanasovski in Dolneni (Prilepsko),
Makfest in Stip, Blues and Soul Festival, Skopje Summer, State Festival-Ilindenski Days Bitola, OFFest-Skopje, Ohrid Troubadours, Folk Fest Valandovo, Skopje Jazz
festival, Festival of fun melodies-Skopje.
-Days of Macedonian music, May opera evenings, Ohrid summer, Golden Lyre, Autumn
musical festivities.
What makes the difference is the MRT‘s propusal budget for 2024.
In contrast to last year, a bullet that relates to both Junior Eurovision 2023 and Eurovision 2024 appeared with an allocation of 1,500,000 Macedonian Denars (around 24,349 Euros).
Therefore, it is very likely to see the country back at Eurovision!

MRT has also broadcasted Eurovision 2023 shows, even though the country didn’t take part.

Andrea represented North Macedonia at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Circles“.
Unfortunately, she didn’t qualify for the final, ending in 11th place in semi-final 2:
So far, the following countries have confirmed participation in Eurovision 2024: Sweden, Norway, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Israel, Moldova, Estonia, Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Serbia, Switzerland, the UK, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Ukraine, Portugal, San Marino, Belgium, Albania, Latvia, Croatia, Greece, and probably North Macedonia.
