Azerbaijan: 214 Songs Were Submitted For Eurovision 2024

On 14th of July 2024, Azerbaijani broadcaster iTV opened the submission window for Eurovision 2024 selection process.
The submission window was available between the 14th of July and 30th of September 2023.

Today, iTV revealed that a total of 214 songs were submitted during the submission period: 88 of them are written by Azeris, while 126 are form foreign writers:

Later on, the list of songs will be shortlisted by a professional jury.
Some of them will continue to the next round, where they will probably have to perform live on tape or live in front of the jury.

Interested Artists

  • Rilaya Huseynzade submitted a song written by Zahra Badalbeyli (who composed Azerbaijan entry for Eurovision 2008)
  • Tofig Hajiyev and Toğrul Əsədullayev submiited the song Oyan
  • Zuar submitted the song “Sympohny of Life” (Demo here)

TurlTuranx represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2023 with “Tell Me More“.
They didn’t manage to qualify for the final:

Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-final will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11h of May 2024
